Sudden Bachelor — Helping you to D.I.Y. instead of D.I.E.
suddenly you’re responsible for, among other things, feeding yourself. One slight problem – you have no clue. Maybe you’ve been married for a long time (even multiple times) and this wasn’t your responsibility, well it is now. Or, you’ve just arrived at your dorm, fresh from mom’s home cooking every day and you’re not on a meal plan at school (just get yourself on a meal plan for God’s sake). Or – you are in your first 5-person share in Manhattan, starting your career all bright eyed and bushy tailed with no knowledge of how to feed yourself, do laundry or iron your clothes. This site is designed to:
* Help you to D.I.Y. instead of D.I.E.
* Provide useful tips, solace, gossip, scandalous stories, brilliant work-arounds, and a place to be sudden and bachelorlike.
* Let you share experiences with other similarly situated (shell-shocked?) Sudden Bachelors (“SBs” as we will sometimes call them).
Forewarning- there will be digressions into other related areas of self-maintenance if you’ve been suddenly bachelored! And fore-forewarning- sudden bachelorhood is scary and exhilarating (emphasis on the scary). Anyway, here we go!
