Lise Swan, artist and teacher was born in Ottawa, Canada. She began her formal art training in England in 1979, studying with Hazel Soan and Sheri Velntine-Daines. Both instructors are highly acclaimed artists in the U.K. After several years of study, Lise held her first art exhibition at the Bernard E. Clark Gallery in Surrey, England. The show was a success and encouraged her to continue pursuing a career in art. Upon returning to the E.S. Lise completed a week long Daniel Greene workshop. She continued studying portraiture under the tutelage of Isadore Siegel from 1988 until she was offered her own teaching position at the Boca Raton Museum of Art in 1992. Lise was a teacher for eight years and participated in numerous juried art shows in Palm Beach County Florida. She was a member of the Boca Raton Museum s Professional Artists Guild. Her Work has been displayed and sold through the museum s gallery. Lise has conducted various workshops and has also juried several art shows in Plam Beach County. In 2006 Lise and her husband Jack moved permanently to Savannah. They currently live on Wilmington Island where she finds inspiration to pain landscapes from the beautiful marsh views. She divides her time between Lake St Pierre de Wakefield in Canada and Savannah.
